They performed some of their number 1 hits. We took pics and signed autographs. I believe we raised 2.6MM RMB for underprivileged youth here in China! That is the MOST important number of the night. Sprite, one of my sponsors, hosted the game. They carry a great message of self-expression: Don't be afraid to be who you are -- by doing, so that you will find your own path and your own greatness as you define it.

I was part of a panel today that included Coach K and Sergey Bubka, who still holds the outdoor/indoor world records in pole vaulting. We sat on a stage and fielded questions from Olympic coaches who wanted to learn more about maximizing an athlete’s potential. I learned quite a bit from the answers of the panel members. Sergey in particular talked about never being satisfied. How every day is a new day. This is a man who broke his own record 35 times!!! He talked about his hunger to want to do more; to learn more and to be more. Very inspirational.

There are two kinds of happiness - the temporary pleasure derived primarily from material comfort alone and another more enduring comfort that results from the thorough transformation and development of the mind. We can see in our own lives that the latter form of happiness is superior because when our mental state is calm and happy, we can easily put up with minor pains and physical discomforts. On the other hand, when our mind is restless and upset, the most comfortable physical facilities do not make us happy.

I don’t come from a place of judging whether or not other people’s
lives are meaningful, but what I’ve observed is that the biggest
obstacle often holding people back is a lack of confidence and courage.
People who believe in themselves and are brave move forward. People who
follow through and realize their dreams, as I’ve been fortunate to do,

Whenever I feel totally comfortable in a situation and can see the road stretching before me, sometimes endlessly, I make an unexpected left turn and the world becomes exciting, strange, and new again. For example, I never expected to live in Los Angeles. Now, every time I see a palm tree, I’m slightly shocked and surprised and it makes me smile.
Every day, I care less about what other people think and I become more and more daring. In a few months, I might just do something I never imagined I’d do, something I can’t even guess about now. I might even do it naked. Can’t wait.

Genius is simply a matter of how willing you are to continue hammering until the nail goes in. It's that simple. Over the course of hammering, you may find that you're using the wrong nail or wrong hammer, you may injure your thumb, you may face criticism from onlookers who say "that nail will never go in" but if you are creative enough and persistent enough, that nail will go in.
